About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Birchmount Lodge. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting their overall well-being.
  • Support clients in regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain their physical health and mobility.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Requirements
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism.
