About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Birchmount Lodge. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Household Duties: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Exercise and Activity: Encourage clients to engage in regular exercise and activities, promoting physical and mental health.
  • Medication and Administration: Assist clients with medication management and administration, as required.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as Personal Support Work or a related healthcare field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of client-centered care and support.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications, as well as a Personal Support Worker certification.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
