Food Service Supervisor

Bar Down is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining hall and cafeteria.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that food and kitchen supplies are requisitioned and managed effectively.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that they meet quality control standards.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Accurately estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess.
- Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control standards for food and service, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for future planning.
- Prepare Food Order Summaries: Prepare detailed summaries of food orders for the chef, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Supervise Assembly of Trays: Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring that they are prepared to the highest standards.
- Supervise Delivery of Food Trolleys: Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that they are delivered to the correct locations.
- Participate in Disability Support Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
- Provide Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Participate in Newcomer Support Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, assisting with their settlement needs.
- Assist with Settlement Needs: Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
- Participate in Youth Employment Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, offering on-the-job training and development opportunities.
- Provide On-the-Job Training: Provide tailored on-the-job training to youth, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required for success.
- Participate in Veteran Support Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support veterans, promoting their employment and well-being.
- Participate in Indigenous Support Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, promoting their employment and well-being.
- Participate in Mature Worker Support Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support mature workers, promoting their employment and well-being.
- Provide Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Participate in Visible Minority Support Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support visible minorities, promoting their employment and well-being.
- Provide Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for visible minorities.
