Finance Administration Specialist

Lambton County Developmental Services is seeking a dedicated Finance Coordinator to join our finance team. This full-time position will be based in our Administration office and will report directly to the Director of Finance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial and IT support across our various operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, petty cash, and suspense accounts.
  • Performing general ledger analysis and preparing journal entries.
  • Assisting in the development of financial reports and budget plans in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
  • Providing backup support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
  • Addressing basic technical issues related to company technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Training staff on new software applications and technological processes.
  • Coordinating with IT service providers to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in IT skills for troubleshooting common technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 and Microsoft Office Suite / 365 is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate and efficient processing of information.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Must possess a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willingness to provide a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector screening.
  • Access to reliable transportation is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage of $27.19, commensurate with experience.
  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
