Position Title: Overnight Housekeeping Supervisor

Department: Operations

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Classification: Full time, Non-exempt

Compensation: $22.00 an hour

Position Overview: The Toyota Arena, a stunning venue under the management of ASM Global, is in search of an Overnight Housekeeping Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the arena's cleanliness and operational readiness under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations by organizing work schedules, prioritizing tasks, and supervising staff.
  • Allocate staff based on event requirements.
  • Assess and validate employee performance through review of completed tasks and methods.
  • Conduct rounds to ensure adequate crew coverage, assign special cleaning tasks, and ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Identify and procure necessary materials, supplies, and equipment; manage requisitions for cleaning resources and repairs.
  • Address public inquiries courteously, providing information related to event operations and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Process work order requests as they arise.
  • Ensure comprehensive safety protocols are established and that all staff are trained in safety practices.
  • Participate in staff training sessions and safety meetings.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget for the housekeeping department.
  • Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and handle correspondence related to operations.
  • Perform cleaning duties including floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing).
  • Sanitize restrooms, ensuring cleanliness of sinks, mirrors, toilets, and walls.
  • Dust and clean furniture areas, including offices and windows.

Required Experience: Minimum of four years in housekeeping, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in hotel settings is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid California Driver's License

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: Safe work practices and general cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to: Read, write, and communicate effectively in English; work collaboratively in a team environment; maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Skills: Proficient in operating communication devices and cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: This position requires prolonged walking and standing; may involve exposure to adverse conditions and hazardous substances; flexible hours may be necessary.
