Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our diverse projects within the mining industry, focusing on surface infrastructure and mineral processing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, demonstrate teamwork capabilities, and exhibit a strong desire for continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the design and development of engineering plans and calculations for various construction projects.
- Utilize Autodesk drafting software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Inventor, for project execution.
- Draft technical specifications to facilitate equipment procurement and installation processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of technical information across projects.
- Contribute to the design of mechanical systems, piping layouts, material handling solutions, and structural support frameworks.
- Travel may be required for project-related activities (approximately 10%).
Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Eligibility for registration as a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, with a willingness to obtain licensure in other jurisdictions. A Professional Engineer (PE) designation in the United States is advantageous.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
