Position Overview: As an integral part of the ambulatory surgical clinics, this role is tasked with managing reception duties, facilitating communication, and overseeing appointment scheduling both manually and electronically. The individual will ensure smooth chart flow, armbanding, and the development of Community Wide Scheduling resource schedules while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to meet clinic requirements.

- Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service, demonstrating effective communication and diplomatic interaction with patients, families, external agencies, and staff.

- Employ proper telephone etiquette in all communications.
- Accurately receive and relay information promptly to the relevant personnel or departments.
- Utilize and share knowledge effectively within the team.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work setting.
- Proficiently complete tasks associated with daily clinic operations, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Possess a Medical Office Administration certificate or equivalent qualification.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrate proficiency in a computerized work environment.
- Familiarity with Meditech systems, including ADM, Expanse/PCS/Service Portal/Maintenance, Community Wide Scheduling, and EMR.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain departmental statistical data as required.
- Order and manage departmental supplies, including stationery and charts.
- Exhibit proven workplace excellence through strong job performance and attendance.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong capacity to multitask.
- Contribute to improving data quality and sharing processes to enhance information accuracy.
- Be available to work at off-site locations as necessary.
Applicants must possess a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent and demonstrate a commitment to strong job performance and attendance.
As a Regional Health Centre, operations run 24/7 to provide essential patient care. Depending on the program, availability for weekdays, weekends, and all shifts—days, evenings, and nights—may be expected.
