About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Computer Futures in London & S.E. as a Permanent and Contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, maintainable code using Java and adhere to best practices across the full-stack application lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with other developers on projects involving both Front End and Back End technologies.
  • Work extensively throughout multiple agile methodologies implementation cycles, ensuring sprint goals are achieved effectively without sacrificing quality control measures.
  • Help lead technical discussions about new features, products, and solutions, ensuring everyone involved has a clear understanding of what's being delivered.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification relevant to computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience working with web-based applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of Java, including its syntaxes, concepts, data structures, and best practices.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented principles (OOP) and design patterns, such as MVC architecture.
