Transportation Coordinator

**Job Summary**
At OPENLANE, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transportation of vehicles across our network.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate transportation operations, including long haul, rail, and local trips, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of vehicles.
- Accurately enter data into our transportation and inventory management systems, including vehicle information, locations, and other relevant documents.
- Quote transportation services, process transactions, and post charges according to contracts and company specifications.
- Investigate discrepancies and communicate with relevant personnel in a timely manner.
- Assist with scheduling for transport drivers and ensure adequate staffing to meet driveaway service demands.
- Act as a point of contact for transportation services, providing prompt, efficient, and courteous attention to customers and escalating concerns to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
- Proactively promote transportation services in collaboration with our Sales & Dealer Relations teams.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and supporting transportation employees with job-related tasks.
- Ensure all company vehicles are in safe operating condition by scheduling regular maintenance and completing weekly van inspections in accordance with our safety program.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
