Nurse Extern Position

Humber River Health is seeking a temporary casual Student Nurse Extern to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department.
Job Summary:The Student Nurse Extern will provide direct personal support to patients, under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses. This role is an excellent opportunity for nursing students to gain hands-on experience and develop their clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic care and support to patients, including activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, and feeding.
- Document patient care and activities of daily living, including intake and output.
- Communicate effectively with the interprofessional healthcare team.
- Work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program of studies.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to accurately and effectively communicate with the interprofessional healthcare team.
