Position Overview:
Join the dedicated team at PHSA as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN). We are a leading organization focused on delivering specialized hospital and community services for adults facing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in alignment with established care plans, which includes executing interventions, applying behavior management techniques, and administering prescribed medications.
- Monitor and identify changes in patient conditions, ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
- Accurately gather and record comprehensive patient health information.
- Enhance the physical and psychological health of patients by evaluating clinical needs, formulating care plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Engage with team members and utilize additional resources for effective care planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Active registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse in British Columbia.
- Completion of a recognized nursing education program.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a forensic or acute psychiatric care environment.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
