About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Consultant to join our Group Retirement Solutions team at People Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our growth and delivering exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships and deliver proactive consulting services to assigned clients, providing expert advice on plan design, legislative requirements, and investment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high client retention rates through excellent client service and solutions.
  • Research and provide guidance to clients on complex issues, and participate in finalist meetings to support new business acquisition.
  • Implement and provide ongoing servicing of GRS clients, expanding and maintaining existing business blocks.
  • Assist in transitioning new business acquisitions to the ongoing management service model, and develop and maintain a strong governance model for retirement clients.
  • Prioritize workflow with competing client deliverables, and work closely with other team members to provide exceptional service and solutions.
  • Strategize, coordinate, and deliver member education materials and presentations, and develop and approve employee communication for plan sponsors.
  • Provide expertise and support within the team and with partner firms to meet overall objectives, and assist in educating and training team members.
  • Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge and industry trends by attending education workshops and staying up-to-date with publications and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years' relevant experience in the retirement or pension industry, with a proven ability to build strong business relationships in a client-facing and advisory position.
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to proactively identify business solutions for complex needs and issues.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen, with professionalism in internal and external communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills, with outstanding time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently to find solutions, and a willingness to travel as needed.
  • Access to a car and a valid driver's license, with proficiency in French an asset.
  • A willingness to have fun with the team, be adaptive to change, and a desire for new challenges in a growth-oriented organization.
