Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to older adults with chronic conditions, promoting independence and safety in their daily lives.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize physical function and promote independence.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Provide education and training to clients, caregivers, and staff on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
- Consult with experts and participate in quality improvement activities to enhance the delivery of client care and promote evidence-based practice.
- Assist with research and special projects related to occupational therapy and geriatrics, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in the field.
- Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy.
- One year of recent clinical experience working with older adults or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC and eligibility for membership in the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
