Experienced Police Officer Opportunity

Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking a skilled and experienced police officer to join our team. As a police officer with the Halifax Regional Police, you will have the opportunity to serve and protect the community, while also developing your skills and advancing your career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions
  • Provide support and assistance to the community, including responding to emergency calls and providing guidance and advice
  • Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve common goals
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be a graduate of a recognized Canadian police training program
  • Have no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted and have no criminal charges pending before the courts
  • Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license or equivalent from another Canadian province
