About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Construction Equipment Operator to join our team at Ruby Rock Asphalts Works Ltd. as a key member of our asphalt paving crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as graders, asphalt spreaders, pavers, and rollers to ensure efficient and high-quality asphalt paving operations.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks to maintain optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment as required.
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure accurate and efficient paving operations.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to maintain effective communication with team members.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Work Environment

As a Heavy Construction Equipment Operator with Ruby Rock Asphalts Works Ltd., you will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations.
