Instructor Pilot

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Instructor Pilot to lead our Basic Flight Training program for the G120TP aircraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight training to our students and ensuring that they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Civilian Qualified Flying Instructors (CQFIs) in delivering instructional classroom, simulator, and in-flight missions to Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) students and instructors.
- Design and develop the pilot training system for the future of the RCAF, including courseware, synthetic training devices, and live flying training sequences.
- Support the establishment of an integrated training centre through the development of policy and procedure documents.
- Maintain flying proficiency, category, and currency in accordance with applicable orders and regulations.
- Execute instructional sorties in accordance with RCAF instructional doctrine.
- Assist the flight commander in monitoring instructor continuity of assigned students.
- Prepare and conduct presentations/briefings on instructional topics.
- Support the customer in writing, maintaining, and reviewing procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Participate in routine, periodic reviews of courseware and procedures.
- A minimum of 500 hours of flying time in a single-pilot, high-performance aircraft.
- A Transport Canada (TC) commercial pilot's license.
- A TC instructor rating.
- Military or professional flying experience within the last 10 years.
- An unrestricted TC category 1 medical and any additional medical exams as required by the RCAF.
- Body weight and anthropometric measurements within the limits of the aircraft to be flown.
- Previous NFTC QFI or Grob G120TP QFI experience.
- Previous flying supervisory/military flight leadership experience.
- Flight lead experience in a trainer or fighter aircraft.
- Experience in military instruction.
- RCAF Aerospace Warfare Centre (RAWC) Operational Test and Evaluation Course (or RCAF-recognized equivalent qualification).
- Verbal French skills.
Candidates must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
