We are seeking a highly skilled Geriatrician or General Internist to join our team as a Locum Physician in the Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services, teaching, and supervising medical students and residents. Clinical activities will include an acute care inpatient Geriatric Medicine Unit and consultation teams at the General and Civic campuses.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be a specialist in Geriatric Medicine or General Internist, eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in Ontario, and a member of or eligible to be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association. Certification in General Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is also required.
What We OfferThis is a one-year full-time locum appointment with the opportunity to teach residents and medical students through the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa. The income for this position is derived from clinical billings.
