Job Opportunity in Geriatric Medicine

About the Position

The Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Geriatrician or General Internist to fill a one-year full-time locum appointment. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist in Geriatric Medicine or General Internist to contribute to the academic and clinical activities of the Division of Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing clinical services, teaching and supervising medical students and residents. Clinical activities will include an acute care inpatient Geriatric Medicine Unit and consultation teams at the General and Civic campuses.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a specialist in Geriatric Medicine or General Internist, eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in Ontario, and a member of, or eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association. The successful candidate must also have a certification in General Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
