Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to join our team at Commercial Spring and Tool Company Limited. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to excellence and safety in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience: 5 years or more or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products for accuracy in shape, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Maintain and lubricate machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Shape and form metal stock into parts or products through cutting, bending, rolling, reaming, punching, drilling, and welding.
  • Document completed work and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues to perform minor repairs.
  • Set up and operate various light or heavy metalworking machines.
  • Utilize equipment to weld, solder, bolt, screw, or rivet metal components together.
  • Operate presses or forging machines for hot or cold metal shaping.
  • Read and interpret technical specifications or follow verbal instructions accurately.
  • Transport materials to the work area manually or with lifting equipment.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with lifting devices and overhead cranes.
  • Skilled in operating power and punch presses.
  • Proficient in using computer numerical control (CNC) machines and hand tools.
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
Transportation Information
  • Own transportation is required.
  • Public transportation options are available.
Physical Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Personal Equipment
  • Required safety gear includes ear plugs, masks, safety glasses/goggles, and steel-toed safety boots.
