Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sprinkler System Fitter to join our team at HAVEN FIRE PROTECTION LTD.. This role is essential in ensuring the effective installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize the necessary materials, tools, and workforce for projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices.
  • Connect piping systems to water sources, including mains, tanks, and pumps.
  • Install supports, clamps, and hangers for piping systems and fire protection equipment using both hand and power tools.
  • Install valves, alarms, and related components.
  • Utilize soldering and welding techniques to join pipes and sections.
  • Conduct servicing and repairs on sprinkler systems.
  • Oversee the work of other team members.
  • Perform leak tests on systems using air or liquid pressure methods.
  • Maintain and clean pipe units and fittings, ensuring systems are flushed properly.
  • Cut openings for pipes in various structures using appropriate tools.
  • Install necessary supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to meet specifications.
  • Replace worn components and reactivate systems as needed.
  • Select appropriate types and sizes of pipes for specific applications.
  • Conduct thorough leak tests using specialized equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings accurately.
