We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler System Installer to join our team at Quik Fire Protection Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sprinkler systems in various commercial and residential settings. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a strong understanding of piping systems, water management, and fire protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
  • Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipe
  • Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment
  • Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment
  • Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment
  • Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment
  • Service and repair sprinkler systems
  • Test systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systems
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems
  • Select type and size of pipe required
  • Test systems for leaks using testing equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
