About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Thanima Kerala Kitchen Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met, and take corrective action as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
