Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate, sterilize, and reassemble medical devices and equipment in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on medical devices and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Load and operate sterilizing equipment, monitoring its operation and performing standard quality assurance tests.
- Store and rotate sterilized items, maintaining accurate records of inventory and supply levels.
- Monitor and maintain established levels of sterile and non-sterile supplies used throughout the healthcare setting.
- Receive, fill, and deliver urgent and routine requests for medical devices, supplies, and equipment for various patient care areas.
- Print pick lists using a computerized system, picking and distributing medical device sets, equipment, and supplies for medical and surgical procedures.
- Replenish procedure and specialty supply carts for various patient care areas on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of workstations, storage areas, processing machines, and equipment.
- Perform related clerical duties, including maintaining records, answering telephones, and retrieving information from the computer.
- Assist with orientation and training of new staff and students.
- Perform and record environmental safety monitoring activities.
- Participate in the evaluation and trial of medical devices, equipment, and supplies.
To be successful in this role, you will require strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
