Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a skilled Medical Specialist to join our team. As a Gynecologist and Obstetrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will include diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders, prescribing post-operation medication and treatment, and supervising surgical procedures. You will also be responsible for treating diseases, injuries, and deformities, as well as acting as a consultant to other physicians. In addition, you will order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed. This is a permanent position, requiring a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, and experience is an asset. You will be working in a private practice setting in a rural area, and you will be required to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for supervising 1 to 2 people, and you will be required to have a criminal record check, a Child Abuse Registry check, immunization records, and an Adult Abuse Registry check. You will also be required to have a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. You will be working in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. You will be required to have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as being accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient, flexible, and a team player.
