As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with mental illnesses and chemical dependencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including accurate and timely documentation of patient information and participation in therapeutic milieu.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring professional boundaries and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility, while promoting independence and autonomy.
- Identify and report safety concerns, including house cleaning and equipment problems, to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Participate in the maintenance of the unit environment, including inventory management and patient supervision.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others.
- Previous experience in direct patient care preferred.
