About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at FLYINGSTAR COURIER INC. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products and materials from trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
  • Material Movement: Move products and materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to load, unload, and move materials.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Ship orders and receive incoming materials, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products and materials for damage or defects, reporting any issues to management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dusty, and noisy environment.
  • Work Setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer, willing to relocate.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, handle heavy loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Transportation: Own transportation, valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
