Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at ShipConstructor Software Inc. as a Financial Data Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English, and the work environment is professional and dynamic.
