Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at ShipConstructor Software Inc. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately record and classify financial transactions
    • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
    • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents
  • Accounting Systems
    • Operate and maintain manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
    • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Perform other accounting-related tasks as required
    • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
