Senior Corporate Accounting Technician

On behalf of our esteemed client, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking a skilled Accounting & Finance Professional to contribute to the Corporate Accounting & Tax division on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supervisor of Corporate Accounting, the successful candidate will oversee the expense processing operations within Corporate Accounting, which includes:
- Managing the processing and payment of vendor invoices along with employee expense reimbursement requests
- Reconciling accounts related to cash, payables, and payroll
- Preparing and entering journal entries
- Generating data and schedules for financial reporting
- Offering insights for policy development
- Establishing, executing, and upholding corporate accounting procedures.
In the Tax segment, the successful candidate will assist with tax filing requests, including generating and preparing reports, confirming tax payments, and liaising with tax authorities to address filing concerns. Additionally, the Senior Technician will provide necessary administrative support to the tax team.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable capacity
- Strong accounting acumen and proficiency in MS Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with financial reporting and applicable accounting standards
- Experience in complex decentralized organizations, particularly within financial institutions
- Proficiency in MS Dynamics NAV accounting software
- Experience with corporate income tax and indirect tax submissions.
Contract Details
This is a full-time contract position. The initial contract duration is 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension or transition to a permanent role. The work environment is business casual, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.
