Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring that our products and packaging meet all regulatory requirements in Canada. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to our team, customers, and vendors to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Review promotional and advertising materials for compliance
  • Provide regulatory, nutrition, and claim-related information for our website and internal databases
  • Work with suppliers to ensure they meet food safety and regulatory requirements
  • Generate and proofread nutrition and ingredient labels
  • Support the communication and execution of regulatory-based changes
  • Provide guidance on routine regulatory and nutritional issues
  • Organize and manage documentation according to company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Food/Nutrition Science, or Food Engineering
  • Prior experience with HACCP, GFSI, food legislation, and Quality Assurance programs
  • Knowledge of Canadian government regulations on ingredient, claims, and nutritional labeling
  • Proficiency with Food Formulation Software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
