Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity in the retail location. This involves conducting cycle counts of sales floor and backroom stock, investigating variances to identify root causes, and making necessary adjustments to inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts of sales floor and backroom stock to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including researching and making adjustments as needed.
- Manage the scanned-out program and investigate negative on-hand reports.
- Process stock adjustments, including quantity exceeds errors and stock adjustment requests.
- Set and adjust sales floor min/max and replenishment flags to optimize inventory levels.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and the team lead.
Requirements:
- At least one year of retail experience in warehouse/inventory management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in operating personal computers and various software packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.
- Ability to use good judgment and logic.
- Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is preferred.
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset.
