Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to contribute to our financial success.
Role Summary
The primary duty involves managing the collection of outstanding debts from clients while fostering and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Additional responsibilities may include supporting various finance-related tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging with clients to secure payments, ensuring compliance with agreed payment terms and achieving collection targets.
- Setting up new customer accounts in the accounting system prior to activation.
- Conducting credit assessments for all new customer accounts and advising on appropriate credit limits to the finance team leader.
- Accurately reconciling customer payments in the accounting system upon receipt.
- Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Preparing monthly payment schedules for suppliers.
- Responding to supplier inquiries in a timely manner.
- Processing invoices for both suppliers and customers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Capability to identify and implement improvements in service delivery and processes.
- Collaborative decision-making skills.
