Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at SKYWAY BRANDS REGINA INC.

Job Summary:

The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, providing management with accurate and timely information.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Airport.
  • Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredients and supplies, ensure quality control, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customer complaints, maintain records, and prepare reports.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people, including food and beverage servers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, permanent position, 30 hours per week, English language.
