About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Mohawk Animal Clinic Ltd. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations
    • Greets patients and visitors, directing them to the appropriate area or contact person.
    • Answers and responds to phone calls, taking messages and relaying information as needed.
  • Administrative Support
    • Processes patient information, including medical records and billing.
    • Schedules appointments and confirms patient visits.
    • Handles patient payments and issues receipts.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provides excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns.
    • Communicates effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Operates computer systems, including medical software and practice management tools.
    • Uses technology to streamline administrative tasks and improve patient care.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • High level of organization and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a medical office or administrative role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
