A prominent player in the oil and gas sector is seeking a Senior Project Engineer who holds a valid Professional Engineer designation and possesses a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects valued at approximately $5 million from inception to completion;
  • Implement the Management of Change (MOC) process and adhere to the Project Delivery & Governance Lifecycle framework (PDGL);
  • Direct engineering design, cost estimation, project planning, scheduling, and equipment procurement;
  • Supervise third-party engineering consultants, fabrication facilities, vendors, and construction service providers throughout project development;
  • Ensure project outputs are technically sound, meet project objectives, and comply with company standards;
  • Maintain adherence to budget and timeline commitments;
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop scope of work documents, project plans, drawings, RFPs, and other deliverables;
  • Utilize technical and analytical skills to enhance project outcomes and support business development;
  • Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions with the operations engineering team;
  • Maintain professional registration in good standing;
  • Foster a workplace culture that prioritizes safety, compliance, and reliability;
  • Encourage an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Professional Engineer with a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in natural gas processing;
  • Familiarity with ASME, CSA, and regulatory codes relevant to oil and gas operations;
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and demonstrate flexibility;
  • Dynamic, resilient, collaborative, and results-driven;
  • Proficient in a fast-paced environment, applying sound engineering judgment to provide recommendations;
  • Advanced computer skills, strong analytical abilities, and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service, demonstrating influence to meet business needs;
  • Experience in supporting processing facilities and engineering design is advantageous.

This role is classified as "Safety Sensitive" and will necessitate Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol testing. A Driver's Abstract may also be required.
