We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Scheunhage Popek & Associates Ltd. in Grande Prairie. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing expert mechanical design solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their project requirements and provide tailored mechanical design solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate projects from engineering to design, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients, colleagues, and sub-consultants to ensure projects meet technical standards and are completed successfully.
  • Strive for excellence in design and quality, continually improving our standards and workmanship.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and checks of drawings to ensure quality control.
  • Oversee project scheduling to ensure timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with staff to resolve design and construction issues, attend meetings, and coordinate with architects, owners, and other disciplines to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering – P.Eng.
  • Membership in APEGA or the ability to obtain membership.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in building systems, such as HVAC and plumbing.
  • LEED AP BD+C Certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad and REVIT MEP is essential.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Pay: $96,000.00-$108,000.00 per year
