Join our dedicated team at Victoriaville & Co, Alliance Saint-Laurent (ASL) division as a Procurement Specialist to enhance our Purchasing department.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the ASL Plant Manager, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Managing schedules for raw material procurement to ensure timely delivery of finished products while optimizing customer service and transportation expenses.
  • Providing production with necessary raw materials in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Engaging in daily production meetings to align on objectives.
  • Processing and monitoring orders for raw materials and supplies through both digital platforms and Kanban systems.
  • Assisting in inventory assessments, compiling data, and notifying management of any inconsistencies.
  • Coordinating the logistics for finished goods, product returns, and raw material shipments.
  • Undertaking any additional related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Education and Credentials:

  • Completion of a college diploma in logistics, production, or a relevant combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a comparable role.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in both French and English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Competent in computer applications, particularly within the Windows and Office 365 environments.
  • Exceptional multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
