About the Role

The ServiceNow Developer will be part of the ServiceNow team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow products and solutions to meet SAIT institutional needs. This position will play a pivotal role in expanding the footprint of ServiceNow at SAIT through various ServiceNow products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, administer, and support various aspects of the ServiceNow platform and portals.
  • Design, code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document deliverables using agreed-upon standards and tools.
  • Create technical and process documentation capturing development work, standards, architectural/technical design.
  • Create or enhance various ServiceNow components such as business rules, flow designer, workflow, request catalog, client script, script include, UI policy, UI action, portal, UI macro, etc.
  • Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems and applications.
  • Research and maintain a deep technical understanding of current and upcoming ServiceNow releases, communicating benefits and alignment with SAIT strategy.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues/problems impacting operation relating to ServiceNow.
  • Identify, improve, and apply security controls to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Support the maintenance and development of the CMDB.
  • Ability to communicate with end users and create user stories.
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership in the ITS and Service Desk teams to identify improvement and develop opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of business processes and the delivery of ServiceNow system and their integrations.
  • Identifying, creating, and implementing efficiencies within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Complete assigned tasks and communicate status to project manager, peers, and leadership showing progress against milestones, status, issues, risks, and dependencies.
  • Adapt to changing technology, learning, and applying new methods for achieving the organization's goals.
  • Work closely with the core platforms and product teams to translate their requirements into deliverables within ServiceNow.
  • Advise and assist vendors in delivery of their products and services to the campus.
  • Advise and assist with vendor issues.
  • Review vendor product roadmaps to determine SAIT system and user impact.

Requirements

  • Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with system architecture and solution design.
  • Experience with all aspects of the SDLC.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and practice.
  • 2+ years' experience with ServiceNow ITSM development and support.
  • 2+ years' experience with ServiceNow CMDB development and support.
  • 1+ years' experience with ServiceNow CSM development and support.
  • 1+ years of experience in scoped application development and/or support with ServiceNow.
  • Experience or training relating to other ServiceNow products such as but not limited to HRSD, SPM, etc.
  • Working to an Agile methodology.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • Preferred
  • Experience with implementation of various ServiceNow products.
  • 5+ years' experience with ServiceNow ITSM development and support.
  • 3+ years' experience with ServiceNow CMDB development and support.
  • 3+ years' experience with ServiceNow CSM development and support.
  • Experience with integration.
  • 3+ years of experience in scoped application development and support with ServiceNow.
  • Experience relating to other ServiceNow products such as but not limited to HRSD, SPM, etc.
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification (ITSM or various other products).
  • Other ServiceNow certifications.

Job Classification: Systems Analyst II

Hours per week: 37.5hrs

Paid Leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000
