Research Scientist I (Scientific)

Join our team at TalentBurst as a Research Scientist I, where you will contribute to innovative vaccine development and formulation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scientific Expertise: Utilize your scientific knowledge to create formulations and conduct appropriate testing for process support and vaccine characterization.
  • GxP Compliance: Operate within Good Practice (GxP) compliant laboratories, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  • Data Analysis: Provide insightful scientific input for data interpretation and assess the suitability of various test methods.
  • Protocol Design: Develop and implement protocols for collaboration with both external and internal laboratories.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on relevant technological and scientific advancements through literature review.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Vaccine Characterization: Innovate new or enhanced methods for characterizing new vaccine entities and stability testing.
  • Project Leadership: Recommend and guide the implementation of subsequent project steps regarding product attributes and characterization.
  • Training: Ensure analysts are trained on new methodologies.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in working groups to support project milestones.
  • Literature Review: Analyze scientific literature for its application to vaccine development and make informed recommendations.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety legislation, company policies, and GxP requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a related discipline with 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred, or a Master’s degree with 2-3 years of applicable work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in biophysical characterization of proteins and protein-based drug products using techniques such as DLS, MFI, UV-Vis, FTIR, HPLC, and ELISA.
  • Adjuvant Experience: Previous experience with adjuvants is advantageous but not essential.
  • Laboratory Maintenance: Familiarity with maintaining laboratories and equipment in compliance with cGMP and/or GLP standards.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective organizational and planning abilities.
