Psychologist I

About the Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services is seeking an experienced Psychologist I to join our multidisciplinary team at the Center for Excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team providing comprehensive mental health services to children, youth, and families from a trauma-informed lens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide family therapy services and follow-up to a varied caseload consisting of families of youth experiencing distress related to moderate to severe mental illness.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and implement services that align with best practices and ethical and professional standards.
• Provide input to the interprofessional team related to psychological factors, barriers, and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes, and team functioning.
• Consult and collaborate with teams and community services.
• Provide supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists, and/or masters-level psychology students.
• Contribute to program, policy, and/or procedure development, and participate in formal research initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five years post-graduate experience working with children, youth, and families with complex needs.
