About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team at Boston Pizza International Inc. As a key member of our kitchen operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the kitchen, including the training, development, and performance management of kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team during operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen performance, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff training.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and management, to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent customer experience.
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
