Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator, Peer Wellness Education and Programs to join our Student Wellness and Equitable Learning (SWEL) department at Humber College. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that promote student wellbeing, resiliency, and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement content related to resiliency, well-being, mental health, harm reduction, and sexual violence prevention.
- Execute campus-wide outreach events and facilitate upstream educational trainings.
- Oversee peer-led services and provide functional guidance and training to a peer support team.
- Liaise collaboratively with campus and community stakeholders to ensure programs meet institutional objectives.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a university degree in an academic discipline transferable to the role.
- Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a postsecondary, community, healthcare, or wellness environment.
- Knowledge of intersectional, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate wellbeing programs.
- Excellent knowledge of harm reduction, sexual health, resiliency, mental health, consent, and healthy relationship practices.
- Experience creating content for various instructional methods.
- Strong understanding of program efficacy in wellness programming.
- Capable of student-centered, evidence-based, and trauma-informed professional practice.
