Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Physiotherapy Elm & Wilson. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

About the Role:
  • Assess client's physical and/or cognitive functioning within the clinic setting, utilizing a variety of assessments including job demands analyses, functional capacity evaluations, and cognitive abilities evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning, with a focus on helping clients achieve meaningful and productive activity.
  • Educate clients on topics such as safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities, promoting independence and self-management.
  • Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations, to facilitate successful reintegration into the workforce.
  • Utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management, working closely with the inter-professional team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Collaborate with the team to promote Lifemark OT programs and services, leveraging expertise and resources to drive excellence in patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions, with a focus on occupational rehabilitation and return-to-work strategies.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset, as is experience with occupational rehabilitation and virtual care platforms.
