Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical and cognitive abilities in a clinical setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations and clinical expertise.
  • Educate clients on strategies for safe body mechanics, cognitive function enhancement, and daily living skills.
  • Support return-to-work programs and provide specialized job coaching to facilitate successful reintegration into the workforce.
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Engage in case conferences and contribute to comprehensive client management plans.
  • Network with stakeholders within the community to promote pt Health's occupational therapy services and programs.
  • Manage a diverse caseload efficiently while adhering to established clinical guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registration in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Proven experience treating clients with a wide range of conditions and functional limitations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current evidence-based practices.
  • Familiarity with auto insurance, long-term disability, and Workers' Compensation Board (WSIB) referral processes is an asset.
  • Experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits.
