Position: Electrical Estimator

Company: FCC Construction

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly examine all contract documents, specifications, and drawings
  • Prepare material take-offs, labor estimates, subcontractor needs, and equipment requirements
  • Gather essential information from suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers, and architects
  • Compile tenders by calculating all costs associated with materials, equipment, labor, and subcontracts
  • Collaborate closely with the Purchasing department to obtain pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontracts
  • Review estimates in conjunction with the Project Manager, Division Manager, and Site Supervisors
  • Engage in various meetings and reviews
  • Follow up on submitted tenders to ascertain bid outcomes
  • Contribute to estimating reports
  • Achieve quotas on a monthly and annual basis
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Technical Qualifications

  • Possession of an Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Certificate, Technology Certificate, and/or Engineering Degree
  • Familiarity with estimating software is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a deadline-oriented environment
