Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs of installing equipment and provide quotes to clients
  • Oversee the preparation of sales and orders, and prepare sales or other contracts
  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
  • Identify and solicit potential clients, and assess their needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
  • Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
  • Deliver sales presentations, conduct sales transactions, and provide ongoing support to clients
  • Use sales forecasting software, and conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support, and review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions
  • Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment, and provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services
  • Resolve product and service related problems, and troubleshoot problems related to equipment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in sales and technical support
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and work under pressure
  • Flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing situations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with sales forecasting software, and Internet-based electronic commerce
  • Knowledge of presentation software, and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to provide input into product design, and consult with clients after sale
