Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-time Professor to teach the CEG3136A course at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of microprocessors and computer hardware, as well as experience in teaching similar courses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach the CEG3136A course, which covers microprocessors and their general architecture, CISC and RISC architectures, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
  • Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions to students.
  • Develop and assess course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and exams.
  • Provide feedback to students on their performance and progress.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a field related to computer hardware or microprocessors.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Experience in teaching similar courses or in a related field.
  • Licence as a Professional Engineer.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
