In this critical leadership role, you will directly support the VP Change Delivery in providing all necessary accountabilities through the Transformation Management Office (TMO). Your responsibilities will encompass leading and supporting the governance, tracking, and administration of all planning activities within the Aviva Canada Change Portfolio. This includes strategic, small/medium, and regulatory initiatives that directly impact the overall Aviva Canada Strategic Outcomes.

As a key member of the TMO, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Change Portfolio by implementing best practice Governance, Assurance, Risk, and Execution Discipline activities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of governance and planning activities, collaborating with the VP Change Delivery to establish processes, artifacts, and cadence activities that integrate the Aviva standard model within the overall TMO Governance Model.
  • Ensure clear alignment between commitments made to Boards and Committees regarding outcomes, deliverables, and objectives that support the Change Portfolio targets.
  • Develop and refine governance processes, incorporating appropriate artifacts and cadence activities through interaction and collaboration with Op Sponsors, Project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Champion a risk-aware approach to project delivery, ensuring effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential risks throughout the Change Portfolio lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent working environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing across all levels of the organization.
Your Qualifications:

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in leading complex transformation initiatives within a dynamic business environment.

  • Extensive experience in project management methodologies and best practices, with a strong understanding of risk management principles.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports.
  • Experience working within a financial services organization is highly desirable.
