What is the Opportunity?

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for supporting leadership and utilizing organizational change management practices to implement operational processes and tools that support business-as-usual activities. You will collaborate with teams within the unit to help meet their business objectives and implement changes to processes to increase agility and reduce costs within the unit.


You will be responsible for the day-to-day fulfillment of firewall requests globally, deployment and life cycle maintenance of site-to-site VPN/Firewall network platform, responding to network security events and incident escalations, and working closely with DevOps/Automation teams to identify opportunities for automation. You will also perform root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for major incidents and recurring problems, and implement permanent solutions.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must-Have:

  • In-depth and current technical knowledge of IP Internetworking and the security exposures and mitigating designs and processes associated with them.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in cyber & network security technology.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security exposures and mitigating designs.
  • Proficient with Cisco Asa, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint firewalls.

Nice to Have:

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  • Palo Alto Certified.
  • Checkpoint certification.
