About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Kings of Media Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and systems from unauthorized access.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Optimization: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance and ensure network efficiency.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and promote equal opportunities.
